On Sunday 22 February we joined 59 other teams in the Battle against Ovarian Cancer – 2014 Beach Volleyball Tournament.
Our Team, the ‘Sandblasters’, won three out of four games, and unfortunately lost by 3 points against the ‘Fallopian Pharoahs’ who came second overall, and failed to make the quarter finals. Nevertheless it did not stop us enjoying the events upbeat atmosphere, fun times, good humour and more importantly helped raised much needed funds.
We had a great time and are looking forward to The Battle against Ovarian Cancer 2015!
This event aims to raise money for Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation in the hope of transforming gynaecological cancer research in Australian and improve outcomes for woman and families fighting this battle.
